Two Sentence Stories (2)

New collection of two sentence stories. No specific theme this time around.


HIDING SPOT

I told him to quit crying, but he just wouldn’t stop. He finally shuts up as soon as the footsteps are right in front of the door.

 

PRAYING

“Make me feel something else,” she whispered, or rather, she mouthed as she knelt in the pew. It was a short prayer, but more than anything else, it was the one that needed answering.

 

FINAL TOUR

Finality: cruel, cruel finality fell upon the team that day. The sand beneath us was blown high into the air, and us with it.

 

BEATEN PATH

All I was told is the path I was supposed to follow, down to the step. Imagine my shock when the trail ended, and thousands of people, just like me, stood waiting.

 

SUBJECT MATTERS

“Questions?” she said suddenly, loudly, snapping me from my stupor. I had been in a daze for so long that I only noticed now, looking at the board, that I was in the wrong class.

 

THE SEND-OFF

Grass had parted and peeled back all around beneath the tree. He was there, staring up at the clouds, motionless, letting his thoughts drift away.
