Netflix Dumpster Dive |Anniversary 2020 Update

Thsoe of you who followed this site for my review series, Netflix Dumpster Dive, have likely noticed that there has been a notable lack in posts since February of this year. For that I apologize. I want to give an explanation for the series’ pause and give a proper update of where it’ll be in the future.

I put Netflix Dumpster Dive on hold when the first round of lockdowns in the USA happened. I had considered continuing it since I’d undoubedly have far more time to catch movies with my job shutting down. However, I noticed just how much more movies and shows were being consumed even during the early days of the pandemic, and I got to thinking about what purpose I was serving with the series when people had the time to find much more than what was popular at the time. The reason for the monthly reviews was to recommend movies that wouldn’t normally be picked due to limited time or interest. In the midst of the pandemic, I was superfluous, so I chose to take a step back, invest my time in working on my books and other projects I’d been neglecting.

Now, of course, all across the states places are reopening. Life won’t be normal for some time, but people are heading back to work and starting school. Time is running short in the day to day, and what people watch will be affected as a result. That’s why I think that the time is nearly here for reviews to resume.

I will be picking back up Netflix Dumpster Dive on its regular last week of the month schedule in January 2021. Thank you to everyone who has followed the site and shared the posts. I’m extremely grateful for the support I’ve gotten over these years. I’m looking forward to seeing you all again in the new year.

Edit: January turned out to be a very busy month. New stuff is on the way! Look for a Dumpster Dive in February and my full analysis of Batman: Three Jokers very soon!
